For those seeking a postsecondary education upon obtaining their HSE, we provide scholarships, FASFA assistance, textbooks, used laptop computers, gas cards, bus passes, and school supplies.

Senior Citizen Reading Pals
Engaging in regular reading activities can offer a multitude of advantages for both seniors and volunteers. Books have the power to unlock new adventures and serve as a catalyst for meaningful conversations. Studies have shown that individuals who read frequently are more inclined to think before making impulsive decisions, leading to a greater openness to change and reduced anxiety in the face of life's uncertainties. Many seniors at the Carol Young unit lack regular visitors, making a weekly or monthly reading session a highly anticipated and valuable addition to their lives.
